The artwork on this cloth is the original artwork for the Naked Heart Tarot Deck. A deck that starter out in black and white. While working away on the art I kept hearing a whispering "work in colour". I acknowledged the whispering, but didn't really know what it meant. In a lot of pain and not able to sit or do much without the use of my left leg (due to a car accident that caused sever injuries). I took a break from creating the cards. I doodled around and work with coloured pencils which I had never done before. I was having a fun, I could feel my heart opening.

A few weeks passed feeling refreshed, I returned the Naked Heart Tarot deck about 18 cards in. Feeling excited as I laid the artwork out in front of me on the table. I was curious about what it would like look in the tarot templates. Much to my surprise. It did not fit! How could it be? I had spent so much time pre-measuring out all the paper before I had even started. How could my calculations be so off?!  I instantly started to panic. Months worth of work now useless. I would have to start again. Then something washed over me, a deep feeling of calm. As it did, I looked down at the table and sitting directly under my eye line was the "Hanged Man" card staring back at me. It was validation not to panic, I just needed to sit and surrender to what had happened. I let it go and move on to other things. A few days later, the whispering came back "work in colour" and just like that the sparks flew! I knew what I had to do. I blended the original black and white drawings with the colour pencils I had been working with during my time out. Just like the artwork style for the Naked Heart Tarot was born!

In love with the process and the initial artwork that was created I didn't want to it to go to  waste. And, so the artwork made it's way onto this very special tarot cloth.
